PRONIC answers your questions!

To get the year 2024 off to a good start, we would like to look at the questions you frequently ask our teams. From the flexibility of our solutions to our ability to participate in international projects, we provide detailed answers to give you an in-depth understanding of our know-how. Let's get started!

— In what way are PRONIC solutions best suited to your applications?

Pronic develops tailor-made solutions using all its technologies to meet the specific constraints of each application, guaranteeing optimal adaptation to your equipment and production philosophy.

Are you able to work with global partners on international projects?

Yes, thanks to our global presence, including China and the USA, we can collaborate with toolmakers in South Korea for stamping projects in India, managed from the USA.

— Is PRONIC able to help me if I cannot do my insertion or tapping operation in the die?

Indeed, we have developed tapping and insertion machines, both in-line and off-line with the press. Currently, we are working on advanced projects involving robotized cells for inserting multiple fasteners on various part types, offering flexibility and modularity.

— Can I reuse Pronic equipment for different parts?

Our solutions are designed for easy changeover from one tool to another, with full or partial reuse of equipment.

For example:
- A single stud to be inserted in several tools? No problem, as the trolley is on wheels and the insertion heads are easy to remove.
- A tool with a 2xM8 parts to tap and another with 3xM8? Easy, just slide the single-tap heads from one tool to the other...

— How do you guarantee the presence of the thread and respectively of the fastener?

Thanks to our Detec (patented) mechanical system, proven over the last 20 years, we guarantee that every hole is fully tapped. We can even anticipate tap wear under certain conditions.

The same Detec technology is used to certify the presence of the fastener in the part. It is also possible to ensure the correct position of the insert.

— What is the response time for technical support?

We are available for telephone support during working hours, five days a week, with on-site intervention to be scheduled a week in advance, or within 24 hours in an emergency.

— Is maintenance complicated, and how often is it recommended?

Maintenance is simple, 100% mechanical. We recommend maintenance every 100 to 200 hours of production or when the tool is serviced.
