Servo driven tapping units – Single and Multi-tap

Drive your tapping unit independently from your press ram…

Initially, these models were developed to integrate In-Die Tapping within a transfer press. But it also prove to be a great choice for fine blanking applications, multi slide press machines, or as a first approach towards in line tapping or off line operation possibilities.

PRONIC servo tapping units use largely the modules developed for the mechanical tapping units. The difference is that the drive shaft/nut system is replaced by a servomotor which is piloted by our color touch screen controller – PRONIC PRC v3000.

Flexibility
  • Works independent of your press cycle.
  • Access, modify and change your whole application parameters through our user-friendly color touch screen controller.
  • Single or multi-tap applications with the same standard module as our mechanical tapping units.
  • Detachable head feature - for quick tap change and easy maintenance.
  • Both controller and servomotor are re-usable for other application and can be easily adapted to differenf tap size.

Security
  • Manage and control electronically the torque during the entire tapping operation.

As for our mechanical tapping units, PRONIC can build tailored made servo units that will fit your design. You don’t have to adapt your design to the tapping unit…
